Travel RN - PICU - 7P to 7A Shift
Location: Wichita, KS
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Shift: 7P - 7A
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel RN for the Pediatric ICU (PICU). Our unit is a Level II Trauma center with a focus on providing high-quality care to our pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively within a teaching hospital environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients.
- Handle critical care situations and exhibit strong problem-solving abilities under pressure.
- Perform IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements.
- Maintain patient ratios of 2:1 during care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum 1 year of current hospital PICU RN experience.
- Current BLS and PALS certifications.
- Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) is preferred.
- APHON Pediatric Teaching Hospital Experience is a plus.
