Diesel Technician (Tuesday-Saturday; 2:00pm-10:30pm)

Build Your Career with Ashley Diesel Technician Location: Mesquite, TX Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday; 2:00pm-10:30pm We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing our fleet of trailers to ensure safe and efficient transportation operations. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trailers including brakes, lights, tires, and suspension systems Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform necessary repairs Conduct DOT inspections and ensure all trailers meet safety and compliance standards Maintain accurate service records and documentation Perform welding and fabrication work as needed Replace and repair trailer doors, hinges, flooring, and other structural components Service and repair refrigeration units on temperature-controlled trailers (if applicable) Collaborate with transportation team to prioritize repair schedules and minimize downtime Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 2+ years of experience in trailer maintenance and repair preferred Strong knowledge of air brake systems, electrical systems, and trailer components Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment Welding and fabrication skills preferred Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Technical Skills Proficiency with diesel engine diagnostics and repair Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics Experience with computerized diagnostic equipment Understanding of preventive maintenance schedules and procedures Why You’ll Love This Job Tool & Boot Allowance - Get a $300 annual boot allowance and $500 annual tool allowance so you’re always equipped for the job.
