The Mobile Phlebotomist is responsible for performing blood collection and specimen handling while working independently. This role involves routine and emergency patient sample collection with a focus on accurate patient identification and clear communication. The Mobile Phlebotomist reports as an individual contributor, ensuring proper record keeping and safe sample transport for laboratory analysis.
Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples from patients in various settings, including routine and emergency situations
- Label specimens accurately to ensure traceability
- Verify patient identification to maintain sample integrity
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of collections and patient interactions
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding the collection process
- Transport samples safely to designated laboratory facilities
Required Qualifications
- Certification in Phlebotomy
