Your Role and Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive assessments for patients, ordering relevant diagnostics, and devising tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute or chronic conditions, whether working alongside physicians or autonomously depending on your credentials
• Empowering patients and their families through education on health maintenance, prevention, and illness management
• Prescribing necessary medications and therapies in alignment with your professional scope
• Engaging in follow-up care and chronic illness management

• Maintaining thorough and precise documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)

Education and Certification Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Credentialed by an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in California
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or similar specialty certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
