POSITION DESCRIPTION

Our organization is seeking to hire a full-time faculty member for the Department of Internal Medicine, specifically within the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy & Clinical Immunology. This role is available at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series. Faculty members in this series are expected to contribute to teaching, maintain professional competence, engage in scholarly or creative activities, and participate in university and public service.

The position primarily focuses on outpatient care, with some responsibilities for inpatient consultations, and involves collaboration with the University’s Residency and Fellowship programs. The role will mainly entail managing soft tissue rheumatism and autoimmune disorders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications (required at the time of application)

• M.D. or an equivalent degree.

• Board certified or board eligible in Rheumatology.

• Eligibility for medical licensure in California.

• Experience in managing soft tissue rheumatism and autoimmune diseases to ensure high-quality clinical care.

• Proficiency in biological therapies and familiarity with ACR Guidelines, along with an understanding of potential drug interactions.

• Experience or capability to teach and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows is essential.

• A collaborative and collegial approach to working within a diverse environment.

Preferred Qualifications (additional qualifications that are advantageous but not mandatory)

• A robust background or clinical training in immunology is highly preferred.
