About the Role Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Senior Estimator to join their remote team, supporting projects across the region, with a focus on operations near Randburg. This role is crucial for assessing the financial viability of construction projects by developing accurate cost estimates and bids. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather data and prepare comprehensive proposals. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor costs, with an exceptional ability to analyze project plans and specifications for detailed quantity take-offs. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for a wide range of construction projects from tender documents. Perform quantity take-offs and analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings. Collaborate with internal teams to gather cost information and validate estimates. Develop bid proposals, including pricing strategies and risk assessments. Maintain an up-to-date database of costs, suppliers, and market trends. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Construction Estimator. Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, CostX) and Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs.
