Fiduciary Accountant

A well-known law firm is seeking an experienced Fiduciary Accountant to support its Trusts & Estates practice within the firm's Boston office. This is a full‑time, hybrid position offering a collaborative, flexible environment and the opportunity to work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and tax professionals on sophisticated estate and fiduciary matters. Responsibilities Prepare and review federal and state estate tax returns (Form 706) Prepare fiduciary income tax returns (Form 1041) and related state filings Assist with fiduciary accounting, income tax reporting, and related compliance Collaborate closely with Trusts & Estates attorneys, tax managers, and paralegals Support complex estate planning, trust administration, and settlement activities (Preferred) Exposure to Foundation or similar software Qualifications Several years of relevant experience in fiduciary accounting, estate tax, or trust administration Experience preparing Forms 706 and 1041 required Background in trusts & estates, fiduciary income taxation, or estate administration Foundation software experience is a strong plus, but not required The firm is not positioned to train junior professionals; candidates should be able to operate independently Candidates with 3-4 years of strong, hands‑on experience will be considered if highly capable All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
