Position Overview


We are seeking a skilled and motivated Echo Vascular Sonographer to join a growing cardiovascular imaging team in a clinical outpatient setting. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals who are passionate about patient care, diagnostic imaging, and working independently in a collaborative healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience performing both echocardiography and vascular ultrasound studies, with strong technical expertise and a patient-focused approach. This position involves rotating weekly between Columbus and LaGrange locations while maintaining a consistent weekday schedule with no nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities


Perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms and stress echo examinations following established imaging protocols

Conduct a full range of vascular ultrasound studies, including carotid, venous, arterial, ABI, and other vascular imaging procedures

Evaluate and document patient histories while communicating key findings to interpreting physicians

Provide exceptional patient care and maintain professionalism throughout the imaging process

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using EMR systems

Ensure proper operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipment and report equipment concerns promptly

Participate in quality assurance initiatives and accreditation support processes

Travel safely between assigned clinical locations as required

Collaborate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and healthcare teams.

Qualifications


Active RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) Certification required

Active RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) Certification required

Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program

Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience preferred

Strong proficiency in cerebrovascular, venous insufficiency, and arterial imaging

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Valid Driver's License

Ability to work independently and adapt to different clinical environments

Strong communication and patient care skills

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods

Frequent walking, bending, lifting, and movement throughout the workday

Ability to lift or move medical equipment up to 50 lbs.
