Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Operating Room (OR) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2+ years of current OR experience License: Current RN License or Compact Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: Traveler must have their own transportation. Scrub and circulating experience with skills checklists must be included in the profile. Ortho/Neuro experience is required. EPIC EMR experience is required. Traveler’s permanent address must be included in the profile. Requests for time off must be included in the profile. Description: Prepare and assist in the setup of the operating room for scheduled procedures. Verify accurate and complete preparation of supplies, instruments, equipment, and special order implants/instruments pre-operatively. Open and dispense sterile items safely and accurately. Assess special needs related to patient history, surgical procedure, positioning needs, and length of planned surgical procedure. Count sponges, sharps, and instruments with the scrub person. Accurate charge capture for items utilized in the operating room for patient-specific charges. Requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified upon upload. Requests for time off after upload will not be approved. No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted. Travelers may not take all holidays off. Must work two blocks if scheduled/needed: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve through New Year’s Day. Local travelers, who reside within 50 miles of the facility, will not be considered for this need. Profile requirements include a Work History, Skills Checklists (OR Scrub and Circulate), and a Supervisory Signed Reference from within the past two years of employment. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission. Requests after the offer may lead to a rescinded offer.
