Location: Fort Meade, MD ( All work is performed on-site in a classified facility at Fort Meade )
Contract Duration: 5 years
Pay Rate Range
Level 2: $90.00 - $95.07/hr. on W2
Level 3: $100.00 - $109.15/hr. on W2
Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI with Active Full Scope Polygraph; CI Investigation closed within last 5 years


HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• This position supports an Intelligence Community (IC) program on Fort Meade, MD, performing network engineering services from design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrade of existing networks.
• The Network Engineer will analyze design specifications and related documents, administer LAN/CAN/WAN infrastructure, translate business requirements into telecommunications solutions, and support strategic modernization efforts for medium and large-scale classified network environments.
• The role requires an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph and a CI Investigation closed within the last 5 years, along with a DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II baseline certification held prior to start.
• At Level 2, this position expects a mid-senior practitioner with 6+ years of relevant network engineering experience who can independently execute complex network engineering tasks, guide junior engineers, and interface with end users, operations personnel, and program management.
• At Level 3, this position expects a senior practitioner with 10+ years of relevant network engineering experience who can lead complex and large-scale network projects, mentor junior and mid-level engineers, serve as the senior technical authority on network architecture decisions, and interface directly with program leadership and mission partners.

WHAT YOU NEED:
Education:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• In lieu of a Master's degree, a Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline plus 2 additional years of relevant Network Engineering experience (total 12 years).
• In lieu of any degree, 6 additional years of relevant Network Engineering experience plus a certification in Arista Configuration Essentials, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or a Juniper Certification Track (total 16 years).

Experience: 6+ (level 2) and 10+ (level 3) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support and training commensurate with network engineering curriculum.


Required Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph -- must be active prior to start; CI Investigation closed within last 5 years
• IAT Level III baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M -- must be held prior to start (e.g., CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, or equivalent)
• Senior-level experience designing and administering LAN/CAN/WAN infrastructure in DoD or IC classified environments
• Experience operating network analyzers, WAN test equipment, and network simulators to resolve complex network problems
• Experience leading large-scale network installation and integration projects
• Experience implementing advanced network solutions including VPNs, firewall contexts, VoIP, GRE tunneling, IPSec, IP encryption, and NAT
• Experience developing algorithms or models for networking and/or telecommunications systems
