As a Security Officer Full Time Controlled Entry Operations in Detroit, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor entry activity, and provide professional customer service and clear communication to employees and visitors. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access control systems, verify credentials, manage visitor entry processes, and maintain accurate access-related logs and documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report security-related concerns and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and the Allied Universal team while following post orders, escalation procedures, and applicable reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
