Employment Associate – Bay Area, CA
Direct Counsel represents a leading AmLaw 100 firm seeking an experienced Employment Associate to join its growing Employment Practice Group. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking sophisticated employment counseling and litigation work within a collaborative, nationally recognized platform.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have 4–7 years of employment experience and the ability to handle complex counseling and litigation matters. The role offers meaningful responsibility, career development, and exposure to sophisticated employment issues.
Key Responsibilities- Advise employers on a broad range of employment law matters .
- Handle employment litigation and counseling matters.
- Advise on restrictive covenants and trade secrets .
- Support wage and hour and class action litigation .
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategy.
- Draft pleadings, briefs, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Work closely with clients and senior attorneys on complex matters.
- 4–7 years of employment counseling and/or litigation experience .
- Experience with restrictive covenants, trade secrets, wage & hour, or class actions is a plus.
- Excellent writing, analytical, advocacy, and communication skills .
- Strong academic background.
- Active California Bar admission required.
- Ability to work collaboratively while managing matters independently.
