Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing inpatient surgical procedures in the operating room setting. Deliver high-quality, compassionate care while supporting surgical teams through preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and prepare them for surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth and safe operative processes.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any urgent clinical needs during surgery.
• Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by healthcare protocols.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in medical records.
• Participate in on-call duties to support immediate surgical needs and emergencies.

Qualifications:

• Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Proven experience with inpatient surgical or operating room nursing.
• Strong understanding of perioperative protocols and aseptic techniques.
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
• Flexibility to work 40 hours per week, including weekends and on-call shifts.
