Fall 2026 Teaching Assistant, School of Civic Leadership Position Open To: All Applicants Weekly Scheduled Hours: 20 FLSA Status: Exempt from FLSA Earliest Start Date: Immediately Position Duration: Expected to Continue Until Dec 31, 2026 Location: Austin, TX Job Overview The University of Texas at Austin’s School of Civic Leadership prepares a rising generation to thrive in life and in service to others. All Teaching Assistants are supervised by a faculty member and report on their duties to the supervising faculty. Instruction of teaching assistants is provided by the administrative unit, school or college employing them. Responsibilities Assist with grading of assignments such as projects, exams, and essays. Host office hours. Facilitate intellectual discussion sessions. Monitor and track attendance, uphold attendance policy. Proctor exams. Carry out additional academic administrative duties as assigned by instructor. Qualifications Current graduate student in Government/Political Science, History, Economics, Business, Statistics, Philosophy or a related field. Must be in good academic standing.
