Homewatch CareGivers is seeking an experienced, results-driven Director of Marketing & Business Development to lead growth throughout our Mercer County territory. This is a hands-on, community-facing position for a proven healthcare marketer who knows how to build relationships, generate qualified referrals, and convert opportunities into new clients.

This is not primarily a social media or office-based marketing role. The successful candidate will spend significant time in the community developing referral partnerships and representing our agency throughout Mercer County.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic marketing plan focused on increasing private-pay, senior care, veterans, and DDD referrals.

• Build strong relationships with hospitals, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, assisted-living communities, hospices, physician offices, senior communities, social workers, case managers, discharge planners, elder-law attorneys, and community organizations.

• Conduct regular in-person visits, presentations, networking meetings, community events, and educational programs.

• Establish new referral partnerships while maintaining consistent communication with existing referral sources.

• Generate qualified leads and assist in converting referrals into new clients.

• Identify new business opportunities throughout Mercer County.

• Represent Homewatch CareGivers at professional networking events, senior events, health fairs, and community programs.

• Develop outreach campaigns and marketing materials that clearly communicate our services and value.

• Maintain an organized record of contacts, visits, referrals, follow-ups, and results.

• Provide weekly reports on outreach activity, referral development, new leads, admissions, and progress toward established goals.

• Collaborate with the owner and operations team to ensure the agency can successfully support new cases.

• Monitor local market trends, competitors, referral patterns, and growth opportunities.

• Help strengthen Homewatch CareGivers’ visibility and reputation as a trusted home-care provider in Mercer County.

Qualifications

• At least three years of successful healthcare marketing, business development, community relations, or referral-development experience.

• Home care, hospice, senior living, rehabilitation, hospital, behavioral health, or DDD experience is strongly preferred.

• Established professional relationships within Mercer County or the surrounding Central New Jersey healthcare community are highly preferred.

• Demonstrated success generating referrals, opening new accounts, and meeting measurable growth goals.

• Excellent communication, presentation, networking, and relationship-building skills.

• Confident, professional, persistent, and comfortable initiating new business relationships.

• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.

• Ability to work independently and remain accountable for measurable results.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, contact-management systems, and marketing-reporting tools.

• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel throughout Mercer County.

• Availability to attend occasional early-morning, evening, or weekend networking and community events.

You are strategic but also willing to be in the field. You understand that successful home-care marketing requires consistent visits, strong follow-up, community involvement, and measurable results. You will take ownership of the territory and help build a sustainable pipeline of new clients and referral sources.

Schedule and Location

• Full-time position.

• Monday through Friday, with occasional community or networking events outside regular business hours.

• Field-based throughout Mercer County, New Jersey, with scheduled office and team meetings.
