Registered Nurse Cardiology
Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, with potential weekends, holidays, on-call, and callback duties.
Assignment Details: Contract length: 17 weeks; guaranteed hours per week not specified.
Requirements:
- 2 years of cath lab experience
- BLS (AHA) certification
- ACLS (AHA) certification
- Moderate sedation training
- Dysrhythmia and telemetry knowledge
- New York RN license
- Experience with TAVR, Microclip, Watchman, right and left heart hemodynamics, cardiac interventions, CTO, PCI, pericardiocentesis, vascular interventions, RotoPro, LVADs, AngioVac, FlowTriever, ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo, and LVAD
- Experience with structural heart procedures such as TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, CardioMEMS, PFO, ASD, VSD, valvuloplasty and ASA
- Critical care or cardiac experience
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology labs
- Prepare patients for procedures and assist during interventions
- Monitor patient conditions before, during, and after procedures
- Collaborate with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and their families regarding cardiac procedures and care
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to safety protocols
