Senior Staff AI Platform EngineerWe are seeking a Senior Staff AI Platform Engineer to help design and build the next generation of enterprise AI capabilities. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of AI, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, and developer experience.You will be responsible for creating scalable platform services, enabling AI application development, improving reliability and observability, and helping engineering teams successfully deploy and operate AI-powered solutions in production.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop platform components that support AI and generative AI applications at scaleBuild reusable SDKs, APIs, and developer tools that accelerate AI application developmentDevelop and maintain AI agent frameworks, orchestration services, and platform integrationsImplement safety, governance, and validation mechanisms for AI-driven workflowsCreate monitoring, telemetry, and observability solutions for AI services and agent interactionsDesign and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting AI platform deploymentsPartner with engineering teams to establish best practices for AI application development and operationsDrive platform reliability, scalability, performance, and operational excellenceContribute to architecture decisions and provide technical leadership across multiple engineering teamsRequired Qualifications10+ years of software engineering experienceStrong Python development experience in large-scale production environmentsHands-on experience building and operating AI/ML or Generative AI platformsExperience with LLM-based applications and AI agent architecturesExperience developing SDKs, frameworks, APIs, or shared platform servicesStrong understanding of cloud-native architectures and distributed systemsExperience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and modern DevOps practicesExperience with observability, monitoring, distributed tracing, and production operationsStrong system design and technical leadership experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience with GCP, Vertex AI, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, or similar cloud servicesExperience with OpenTelemetry and distributed tracingExperience with AI governance, safety, compliance, or security controlsExperience with MLOps, model evaluation frameworks, or model lifecycle managementExperience with vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval systemsExperience supporting multiple engineering teams through platform developmentKey SkillsPython • Generative AI • LLMs • AI Agents • Platform Engineering • SDK Development • Cloud Architecture • GCP • MLOps • CI/CD • Infrastructure as Code • OpenTelemetry • Observability • Distributed Systems • Developer Experience
