Job Summary:
A Labor and Delivery Nurse position is available in Santa Rosa, California. This role involves providing specialized care in a Labor and Delivery unit, with a focus on high-risk antepartum and obstetrical patients. Candidates are required to bring their valid California license on the first day of assignment. The position begins on 07/27/2026 and requires candidates to have a minimum of two years of relevant experience.

Job Details:

• Location: Santa Rosa, California
• Shift Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid California license, minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, Certifications including ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP, with Epic charting system experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Strong precepting skills are a plus.
• Patient Ratios: 3 patients per nurse during night shifts.
• Additional Information: The unit handles approximately 200-300 facility births per month. Candidates must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Travelers may be expected to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Submission must include SSN, DOB, and RTO at the time of application, along with two references covering the last 1 year (6 months for CNAs).
• Experience and Skills: Candidate must have experience with anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, circulating for C-sections, high-risk antepartum care, insulin drips, PPE, magnesium sulfate therapy, central line maintenance, sterile vaginal exams, triage of obstetrical patients, use of intrauterine pressure catheters, and other obstetrical procedures.
