Travel MRI Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Overview American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for an adult outpatient spine clinic setting, requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience, ARRT MR certification, and Epic proficiency. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of MRI technologist experience required Current BLS and ARRT (MR) certification required; license required if applicable Experience in an adult outpatient work setting required Proficiency with contrast media preparation and/or administration required Epic EMR experience required Proficiency with Philips MRI equipment and PACS preferred Radiation safety knowledge and peripheral IV start experience preferred First-time travelers will not be considered for this position Responsibilities Adult outpatient clinic setting with a focus exclusively on spine diagnoses Patient population includes adults and geriatrics Average daily census of 25 patients across 2 MRI rooms Spine cases include cervical, lumbar, sacrum/coccyx, and thoracic; musculoskeletal cases include hip/bony pelvis and knee Contrast media preparation and/or administration is required Uses Philips Ingenia 1.5T MRI units and Visage PACS Epic EMR experience is required 5x8-hour day shifts alternating between 7:00 AM–3:30 PM and 9:00 AM–5:30 PM No call, float, or weekend requirements 13-week contract Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be placed at a lower pay rate Former permanent, PRN, or EP staff of this health system must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler; prior employment must be disclosed including facility name and dates, and rehire approval is required Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved provided it does not fall on a holiday; additional RTO beyond 7 days requires facility approval No RTO is permitted during the first week of the assignment due to orientation RTO cannot be requested or added after signing Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays Orientation is scheduled per clinic needs; travelers may begin mid-week during the first week and must be fully available with no other commitments — missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start Pre-start online modules (~4–5 hours for non-acute roles) must be completed prior to the start date and annually thereafter Two manager or supervisor professional references from within the past 2 years are highly preferred; references may be pending at time of consideration but are required prior to start Navy blue scrubs are required and are not provided Travel pairs are permitted provided they are on different units and have independent transportation Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs #J-18808-Ljbffr Newsandtribune
