Residential Plumbing Service Technician Gibson Home Services

Gibson Home Services, a division of Gibson Group Holdings, is seeking a skilled, motivated, and customer-focused Residential Plumbing Service Technician. Our team provides homeowners with a full range of plumbing services from simple faucet repairs to water-heater installations and complete plumbing-system replacements.

To avoid any confusion: this position does not service rental units or any buildings managed by Gibson Property Group. All work is performed for residential customers of Gibson Home Services only.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to service calls, conduct thorough inspections of plumbing issues, accurately diagnose problems, offer effective solutions and estimates, and close service sales.
• Provide routine maintenance plumbing services.
• Provide 24/7 emergency services, as needed.
• Install and repair various plumbing fixtures including sinks, toilets, bathtubs, water heaters, garbage disposal units, dishwashers, and water softeners.
• Install, inspect, and repair plumbing systems, including water, drainage, and gas lines.
• Conduct sewer and drain cleaning services in diverse environments such as basements, roofs, confined spaces, and close quarters. Ensure thorough cleaning and restoration of work sites to meet pre-job conditions.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, state regulations, and local building codes.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate plumbing products, upgrades, and services.
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications to determine layouts.
• Perform pressure tests to ensure system safety and performance.
• Ensure all work complies with Ohio plumbing codes, OSHA standards, and company safety policies.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, contractors, and clients.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas are in excellent condition.
• Complete daily work orders, reports, and documentation on time and accurately.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Five (5) or more years of plumbing service and repair experience (residential preferred).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Full knowledge of plumbing systems is essential for performing duties.
• Proficiency with plumbing tools and equipment.
• A valid drivers license and clean driving record.
• State plumbing license preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA standards.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Must be able to see, hear, and exchange accurate information with customers and team members.
• Regular exposure to outdoor weather, noise and environmental conditions. Work in confined spaces.
• Able to climb ladders and navigate uneven surfaces.
• Able to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Salary:

• Hourly rate based on experience, $30.00 - $40.00.
