JANITOR (FULL TIME)

Position Full‑time Janitor – Oliver Springs High School Location & Schedule Location: Oliver Springs HS – 419 Kingstone Ave, Oliver Springs, TN 37840. Openings at other district locations available. Schedule: Full‑time, Monday–Friday. Hours may vary. Pay $10.00 – $12.00 per hour. Qualifications Prior janitorial experience preferred. Job Summary Maintains buildings clean and orderly. Performs heavy cleaning duties, including deep cleaning of floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans. Dust and mop floors following approved procedures. Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and return furniture to correct placement. Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment. Sanitizes all surfaces and follows the eight‑step cleaning procedure. Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for visitors and staff. Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the task. Complete tasks assigned by supervisor. Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state and county guidelines. Strip, scrub, buff and refinish floors; shampoo carpet. Contribute to the team; exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others. Perform other duties as assigned.
