The Dental Assistant provides chairside clinical support for general dentistry procedures, helping prepare patients, assist the dental office owner and lead dentist, maintain efficient workflows, and deliver a safe, comfortable patient experience. This role offers opportunities to expand clinical responsibilities, complete radiography training, pursue expanded-function certification, and progress toward a lead assistant pathway.

 

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and treatment areas for general dentistry procedures.
• Provide chairside assistance to the dental office owner and lead dentist.
• Perform dental imaging and assist with impressions.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards.
• Document treatments and maintain accurate dental charts.
• Educate patients on procedures and support clear patient communication.
• Manage clinical supplies and coordinate appointments.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in dental assisting.
• Knowledge of dental radiography, infection control, and instrument sterilization.
• Experience with dental charting and chairside assisting.
• Understanding of HIPAA compliance.
• Strong patient communication, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
