Quality Control Inspector

We are seeking a Mechanical Quality Control Technician for a reputable electronic manufacturing company in Plano. This is a 12-month contract position with opportunities for overtime. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who will perform quality control inspections, checks, and tests during product manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Reading blueprints and specifications.
• Monitoring operations to ensure they meet production standards.
• Recommending adjustments to the assembly or production process.
• Inspecting, testing, or measuring materials or products being produced.
• Measuring products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
• Operating inspection equipment.
• Accepting or rejecting finished items.
• Removing all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
• Reporting inspection and testing data.

Essential Skills

• 1-3 years of QC/inspection experience.
• Proven experience as a QC Inspector or similar position.
• Familiarity with precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read manufacturing drawings and symbols.
• Strong math skills for data reporting, measuring, calibrating, and calculating specifications.
• Ability to enter data into ERP systems, specifically using Costpoint.
• High school diploma.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Physical strength to lift packages by hand.
• Reliability and ability to work independently.
• Availability to work overtime as needed.
• Must be a US Citizen to meet ITAR requirements.

Work Environment

The position is in a climate-controlled electronic manufacturing facility, requiring standing most of the day with some squatting and sitting. The role includes lifting up to 25 pounds a few times per day and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The team is small, with only two people in the quality group working under a quality lead who handles most of the paperwork.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
