Physical Therapist

The Physical Therapist 1 provides care to patients through evaluation. Treatment planning is essential. Implementation of treatment and patient education are key responsibilities. Discharge planning is conducted to maximize the patient's functional level.

Essential Functions of the Role:

• Evaluates, treats, and monitors patients.
• Modifies therapy programs and goals as needed.
• Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner.
• Accurate entry of charges is required.
• Understands reimbursement related to the practice setting.
• Communicates effectively with patients and families.
• Works with departmental coworkers and members of the medical care team.
• Provides education to patients, families, and staff as necessary.
• Supervises support staff, students, and volunteers.
• Advances clinical skills through ongoing education.
• Engages in literature review and implementation of evidence-based practice.
• Shares knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues.
• Maintains awareness of organizational goals.
• Aligns individual goals and work activities to support the system's objectives.
