We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Restaurant General Manager to lead the daily operations of a successful, high-volume restaurant in Commack, NY. The General Manager will have overall responsibility for the restaurant’s performance, including team leadership, guest satisfaction, staffing, training, cost control, and profitability. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily restaurant operations, ensuring consistent execution and an exceptional guest experience.
• Lead, coach, and develop the management team and hourly staff.
• Recruit, train, and retain high-performing team members.
• Create a positive, accountable, and team-oriented restaurant culture.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, labor deployment, and productivity.
• Take ownership of the restaurant’s P&L and financial performance.
• Monitor sales, labor, food costs, inventory, and operating expenses.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and maximize profitability.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, service, cleanliness, safety, and hospitality.
• Conduct regular manager meetings, team meetings, and performance reviews.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and ensure timely resolution.
• Partner with the culinary team to maintain consistency and operational standards.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and company policies.
• Oversee inventory, purchasing, receiving, and loss-prevention procedures.
• Analyze business trends and implement action plans to improve restaurant performance.
• Support local marketing and community initiatives designed to build sales and guest loyalty.
• Maintain a strong presence on the restaurant floor and lead by example.
• Support special events, private parties, and high-volume business periods as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager or senior restaurant management role.
• Strong background in high-volume, full-service restaurant operations.
• Proven experience managing P&L, labor, food costs, and other financial metrics.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, coach, and develop a strong management team.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
