Mechanical Technician

Mechanical TechnicianWe are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to support product development and engineering projects. This role will assist the Development Team with prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and technical support to ensure projects are completed on schedule and meet performance objectives.ResponsibilitiesAssemble prototypes, sub-assemblies, engineering builds, and trade show unitsPerform testing of components, PCBs, modules, and assemblies under the direction of Development EngineersTroubleshoot and assist in resolving issues related to systems, instruments, and componentsIdentify root causes and recommend design improvementsProcure materials and components from internal and external sourcesRework materials, assemblies, and instruments as neededSupport the operation and maintenance of 3D printers and other laboratory equipmentAssist with additional engineering and development tasks as assignedQualificationsMechanical aptitude and hands-on assembly experienceAbility to read and follow technical drawings, instructions, and proceduresExperience with troubleshooting mechanical and electromechanical systems preferredStrong problem-solving and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentExperience with prototypes, testing, or product development is a plusWork closely with engineering and product development teams.
