Day to Day Responsibilities/project specifics: We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support our payroll accounting function (not payroll processing) following a recent migration of HCM systems. Working as part of a two-person team, this individual will reconcile payroll to source data across weekly on/off cycles, analyzing, researching, and compiling the differences that have arisen since the system conversion to determine whether manual adjustments are warranted. The role involves a retroactive review spanning from October 2024 to present, requiring strong critical-thinking skills and a solid understanding of payroll mechanics-specifically how payroll works and when journal entries are necessary. Proficiency with Oracle is preferred, along with experience preparing journal entries in SAP. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who can dig into the details and think through reconciliation issues independently, rather than someone who relies solely on software-generated output.
