Position Summary As a Residential Direct Support Professional, you’ll play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities, including medication administration, meal planning, transportation, and personal care. You’ll help clients manage their budgets, maintain a safe and clean environment, and achieve their personal goals through Person-Centered Support Plans (PCSPs). Essential Duties and Responsibilities Daily Support:Provide day-to-day services in residential settings, including training, meal preparation, and shopping. Health & Safety:Administer medications as prescribed, monitor health concerns, and maintain emergency equipment. Report health changes and incidents promptly. Financial Assistance:Help clients manage budgets, maintain spending records, and organize receipts. Community Engagement:Support clients in participating in community activities and accessing local resources. Client Development:Work closely with clients to meet their personal goals, ensuring PCSPs are implemented and documented effectively. Home Maintenance:Maintain a clean and safe living environment, assisting with cleaning, laundry, and other household tasks. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Automobile liability insurance as required by the State of Kansas. Preferred: One year of experience providing direct services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Skills and Abilities Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
