About the Role

Prestigious International Trading Corporation with diversified business units has an immediate position available for an Associate, Total Rewards/Compensation . They are expanding the reach of their compensation program and are looking for a professional individual to analyze, administer and design the compensation programs for the company and its subsidiary companies. Located in Midtown, New York City, this is a hybrid role; 3 days required in office.

Responsibilities

\n
• Prepare and maintain job descriptions for each position in the organization.
\n
• Conduct outreach to departments according to compensation schedule to ensure descriptions accurately reflect the work performed by incumbents.
\n
• Modify and create new descriptions which accurately reflect current roles, responsibilities, and requirements.
\n
• Interview managers and employees to gather and document job and organizational information including duties, responsibilities, and skills required by each job.
\n
• Assess jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or non-exempt.
\n
• Benchmark jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
\n
• Advise managers on effective pay decisions that support employee engagement and comply with compensation policy and company guidelines.
\n
• Evaluate jobs and develop and maintain job descriptions and job architect system.
\n
• Analyze market data, job evaluations, and internal leveling of new and updated positions to ensure both external and internal equity.
\n
• Participate in compensation surveys, and conducts research and analysis on market competitiveness, pay equity, and compensation trends.
\n
• Advise management on state and federal employment regulations, compensation policies, and human resource procedures.
\n
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
\n
• Provide consultative guidance, interpretation, training, and recommendations to managers, supervisors, and team members related to all compensation programs, policies, actions, and issues.
\n
• Administers annual salary increases, incentive payments, and spot bonus programs.
\n
• Evaluates and processes off-cycle requests for salary adjustments, special payments, and bonuses.
\n
• Interfaces directly with top and middle management to coordinate division and department evaluations and ensures evaluations are completed in time for incentive payments.
\n
• Responsible for creating reports and analysis for compensation-related projects.
\n
• Research and resolve questions, discrepancies, and other ad hoc requests.
\n
• Drives automation and process improvements for Compensation programs.
\n
• Works directly with Business Groups to plan and model the incentive compensation programs.
\n
• Develops, writes, and delivers compensation-related courses for managers and employees through the organization's learning management system.
\n
• Provides training to managers and employees on the organization's compensation practices and policies.
\n
• Ensure policies are in place, incentive compensation process and related controls are documented and executed.
\n
• Provides consultative compensation services by answering compensation questions and providing compensation support.

Qualifications

\n

\n

Bachelor's degree required

\n

\n

2-4 years of Compensation experience required

\n

\n

Strong analytical skills using qualitative and quantitative data and capability to problem solve ad make reccomendations based on data independently

\n

\n

Attention to detail, excellent writing skills

\n

\n

Experience with HRIS systems ; Dayforce a PLUS

\n

\n

Certified Compensation Professional Certification preferred

\n
