The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing daily production line operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role provides leadership, direction, and support to production team members to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of food manufacturing or food processing experience and demonstrated leadership skills in a production setting.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and support production line employees to achieve daily production goals.
  • Monitor production activities to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity standards are met.
  • Assign work tasks and coordinate staffing to maintain optimal production flow.
  • Ensure compliance with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, food safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct line checks to verify product specifications, packaging quality, and operational standards.
  • Train new employees on production procedures, food safety requirements, and equipment operation.
  • Identify and resolve production issues, equipment concerns, and workflow bottlenecks.
  • Communicate production updates, shift priorities, and performance expectations to team members.
  • Complete production reports, documentation, and shift records accurately.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to meet operational objectives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in food manufacturing, food processing, or a related production environment.
  • Prior experience leading, training, or directing production employees preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, GMPs, HACCP, and sanitation procedures.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Basic computer skills and experience completing production documentation.
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or manufacturing training is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures common in food manufacturing facilities.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Preferred Skills
  • Experience operating or overseeing food processing equipment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Forklift certification or experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
