Job Description:
We’re partnering with a leading financial services organization to hire an Investment Operations Senior Specialist to support a high-impact, innovative retirement services team.This role sits within a growing group focused on transforming how financial advisors manage retirement income strategies. You’ll work alongside experienced investment professionals to analyze retirement plans, support trade execution, and help scale a cutting-edge platform designed to improve retirement outcomes for clients.
If you’re detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about retirement planning and investment operations, this is a unique opportunity to get in early on a fast-evolving initiative.
What You’ll Do- Analyze financial plans to assess retirement withdrawal strategies and cash flow
- Prepare and support execution of investment trades aligned to client plans
- Monitor daily cash levels and identify discrepancies or risks
- Partner directly with financial advisors to clarify requests and provide support
- Assist with retirement distribution decisions using advanced planning tools and software
- Track and maintain client retirement data and generate reporting insights
- Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Support onboarding of new advisor relationships
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in financial services (investment operations, advisory, or similar)
- Strong understanding of investment products and retirement accounts (IRAs, distributions)
- Experience analyzing financial data and supporting trade decisions
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills (email and occasional advisor interaction)
Preferred:
- Experience with Envestnet, Next360, or similar platforms
- FINRA SIE, Series 6 or 7 (nice to have, not required)
- Background in retirement planning or financial planning support
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, data analysis)
- Hybrid (Milwaukee-based)
- 5 days onsite during training
- Transition to ~3 days onsite per week
- Standard business hours (no evenings/weekends)
- Small, collaborative team environment
- Be part of a pilot program shaping the future of retirement services
- Work closely with highly experienced investment professionals
- Gain exposure to complex, real-world financial planning scenarios
