Interim Senior Accountant

Interim Senior Accountant Onsite | Triad Area, NC As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting core accounting operations in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for ensuring accuracy across the general ledger, supporting month-end close, and partnering with internal teams to maintain strong financial reporting and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Own general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances Assist with financial reporting, including internal statements and supporting schedules Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data flow Support audit requests and ensure documentation is complete and organized Identify and help implement process improvements within accounting workflows Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policies Qualifications: 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and month-end close Strong understanding of core accounting principles and financial reporting Experience working in an ERP system (any major platform; able to learn quickly) Proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivots, sorting, and basic formulas) Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally _________________________________________________________________ Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
