Job Title: Warehouse Helper - Storekeeper 1st year

Note: This is an onsite role based out of the Service Center in Little Rock, AR. Candidates from outside the area would be expected to relocate for this role; relocation assistance is not available for this posting. This position will be filled as a Warehouse Helper, Warehouse Helper Over 1 year or Storekeeper- 1st Year based on experience.

Job Purpose and Scope:

This role is responsible for receiving, shipping, packaging, labeling and performing cycle counts for materials within our Transmission warehouse. Supporting service centers across the territory - TX, LA, & MS. Using established material-handling practices, this role also ensures the safe, organized, and efficient placement of materials throughout the warehouse and yard areas.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Learn and adhere to all company Safety rules and procedures

• Attend and participate in monthly Safety meetings

• Receive and stock material - check for any damage and verify packing list against the material

• Conduct routine cycle counts

• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes and various other lifting/hauling devices to transport or relocate large heavy items

• Accurately pick and prepare materials for shipment

• Perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties in all areas of the warehouse and yard

• Must be able to work in all weather conditions - heat, cold, rain, snow, ect. As this is primarily an outside job

• Must be willing to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation

• Must be available for out-of-town storm response due to providing support to TX, LA, & MS

Education and Experience required for this position:

High school graduate or equivalent.

Preferred knowledge and experience for this position:

• Shipping procedures

• Maximo computer functions terminology, and operations

• Inventory control, storage concepts, and methods

• Warehouse safety and security practices and procedures

• Knowledge of forklift/pallet jack safety

• Knowledge of MSDS sheets

• Knowledge of use of shrink-wrap machine

• Knowledge in use of PPE's

• Knowledge of warehouse work practices

This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive position and is subject to mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing
