About This Role
The school at Effort Baptist Church is a child-centered program that provides a joyful, enriching experience for children. It nurtures the emotional, social, spiritual and academic growth of children by providing stimulating experiences in a loving, respectful environment.
Our aftercare staff care for these children from 3 to 6 pm daily.
What You'll DoResponsibilities:
- Follow DSS guidelines as communicated by your supervisor.
- Ensure attendance Procare check-in and out’s are completed fully for children.
- Group and manage children on a weekly basis.
- Alert the Afterschool manager when snacks and materials are needed.
- Ensure the building is cleaned and locked, all lights are cut off, and every door is closed at the end of afterschool each day.
- Able to attend aftercare staff meetings.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with parents regarding all aftercare matters.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience: Prior experience in religious instruction, Sunday school teacher, preferred
Skills and Abilities:
- Good oral communication skills are required.
- The ability to follow instructions and perform tasks with minimal guidance is necessary.
- Must like to work with children in a Christian setting.
