What You Will Do Attend meetings with design, construction, operations, and third‑party commissioning teams to understand project goals, schedule, and commissioning requirements, ensuring alignment with project milestones. Review commissioning‑related documentation—including equipment submittals, shop drawings, test scripts, operating sequences, and turnover materials—for alignment with design intent and owner requirements. Support the commissioning team in an owner’s representative role through document review of earlier commissioning activities and field oversight of later stage activities. Perform pre‑functional inspections, field observations, and system verification activities to confirm equipment and systems are installed in accordance with project requirements. Participate in functional testing of electrical, mechanical, controls, and related building systems to verify performance in accordance with approved procedures and design documents. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, project teams, and third‑party commissioning partners to support test readiness, execution, and timely resolution of issues. Track commissioning deficiencies, open items, and retesting requirements through resolution and closeout, communicating status and risks to project stakeholders. Support construction, project management, and operations teams in resolving issues that may affect startup, testing, turnover, or operational readiness. Review operating modes, sequence of operations, operations and maintenance documentation, and training needs to support turnover and operational readiness. Demonstrate accountability for individual performance and contribution to team and business objectives. Identify and recommend opportunities to improve processes, service delivery, and team effectiveness. Exercise sound judgment and maintain a high standard of quality, consistency, and professionalism. Maintain a professional and customer‑focused approach in daily interactions and decision making. Contribute to a collaborative, results‑driven team culture through professionalism and effective communication. Build effective working relationships with colleagues, vendors, contractors, and external partners. Take ownership of assigned work, follow through on commitments, and meet established expectations. Seek and apply feedback to support continuous improvement and professional growth. Demonstrate flexibility in supporting responsibilities and business needs beyond core job duties when appropriate. What We Are Looking For 6+ years of related experience, including technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and controls systems, commissioning processes, construction administration, and building systems operation. Experience supporting commissioning activities in mission‑critical, industrial, commercial, or other complex building environments. Experience reviewing technical documentation, test procedures, submittals, and turnover materials. Ability to coordinate effectively with vendors, contractors, consultants, project managers, and operations teams. Experience identifying, documenting, tracking, and supporting resolution of commissioning issues through closeout. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
