What You’ll Do

  • Assist in the origination and execution of M&A transactions
  • Act as a primary day‑to‑day point of contact for clients
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the deal process, including developing marketing/execution materials, financial projections, analyses, valuation work, and providing critical support on tactics and negotiations
  • Coordinate and review the analytical work of junior bankers to advance marketing and execution processes with maximum impact
  • Coordinate internally across products and with external parties on transactions as necessary
  • Oversee diligence processes and identify or manage risks related to each deal

How You’ll Lead

  • Demonstrate capacity to take initiative and assume responsibility
  • Effectively train and mentor junior bankers to foster a high‑performance culture
  • Create a positive, effective work environment that encourages open communication and collaborative problem‑solving

Skills You’ll Need

  • Experience working with senior‑level management and building trusted relationships with clients
  • Proven track record in originating, executing, and structuring public and private M&A transactions
  • Established experience providing quantitative and analytical support for M&A transactions with an understanding of capital‑market products (IPOs, equity follow‑ons, investment‑grade and leveraged finance debt offerings)
  • Experience supporting senior bankers across all stages of a transaction lifecycle, including pitching, preparing marketing materials, financial models, and deal execution
  • Ability to perform detailed financial modeling and valuation analyses on public and private companies (DCF, comparables analysis, precedent transactions, merger analysis, LBO, and other valuation analyses)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate concepts clearly and defend their validity
  • Ability to present to internal constituents and external clients with confidence and clarity
  • Current Vice President in the M&A department of a bulge‑bracket investment bank or boutique advisory firm
  • Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred)
  • Series 79 and 63 licenses

Expectations

Employees hired into this role will work in office at One Columbus Circle, New York, NY. The salary range for this position in New York City is $250,000 – $275,000 (actual salaries may vary based on skills, experience, education, location, and other qualifications).
