About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required. 1 year of travel experience required. Oncology experience preferred but not required. EPIC experience required. License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Must-Have: Proficient in IV starts. Experience with telemetry monitoring. Ability to work with a patient ratio of 1:4. Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Emergency Department. The nurse will float as required. The Oncology Pod within the Emergency Department provides dedicated care for oncology patients. This specialized unit addresses the urgent and complex needs of cancer patients in a high-acuity environment. Candidates must have current acute care experience and must be working consistently in the specialty for the last 12 months. Exceptional interdisciplinary support is available, including respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy. Applicants should have skills in areas such as BiPAP/CPAP management, emergency medications, and phlebotomy, among others. This role requires an understanding of various patient diagnoses and effective management of emergency situations.
