Authorization Specialist

Join Our Team at Capital Cardiology Associates! We are looking for a full-time Prior Authorization Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the key point of contact, ensuring patients have access to essential services and medications that require insurance prior authorization. As a Prior Authorization Specialist, you will handle the review and processing of prior authorization requests for outpatient services and admissions, focusing on eligibility and benefits. You will also work to resolve issues and provide guidance to both internal and external staff. Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in a cardiology environment. Strong multitasking abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and advanced computer proficiency. Prior experience with the Medical Manager system is a plus. CPC certification is highly preferred Compensation: Hourly rate: $20-$25 per hour based on experience and qualifications. What We Offer: Monday through Friday schedule.
