Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele (Cardiac) in Rochester, NY. This travel assignment begins 08/17/2026 and runs for a number of weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,854 to $1,962 per week with no guaranteed hours. Shift is 4x12 Nights in a hospital setting on a 19-bed MS/Tele unit with a cardiac focus. Orientation includes 16 hours of unit onboarding.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric patients on a medical-surgical telemetry unit with a cardiac focus.
- Monitor, interpret, and respond to dysrhythmias; activate rapid response as needed.
- Administer medications, perform phlebotomy, manage peripheral IV lines, and support oxygen therapy.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV team, PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Work, Rapid Response, Transportation, Unit Secretary).
- Adhere to isolation precautions/PPE, maintain patient safety, and document care in the charting system.
- Assist with non-invasive airway management and patient education; support families as appropriate.

Requirements
- Active New York RN license in hand to submit
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (MS/Tele or cardiac-focused care)
- BLS certification required
- Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation/management ; phlebotomy and IV placement competencies
- Ability to float within MS/Tele scope; strong teamwork and communication skills
- Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program; NY RN licensure
- EPIC charting experience preferred; orientation and onboarding will align with unit needs
- Local candidates within 75 miles are not being considered
- Travel assignment with block scheduling and every-other-week weekend requirement
