The Onboarding and Renewal Specialist plays a key role in strengthening customer relationships and driving agency growth by conducting proactive policy reviews with clients at renewal. This position focuses on identifying coverage gaps, educating customers, optimizing existing policies—including transitioning clients from legacy products to newer solutions—and uncovering cross-sell opportunities across multiple lines such as auto, home, life, and retirement products. The ultimate goal is to deepen household relationships, improve retention, and increase customer value.

We offer a base salary + commission + team bonus. We also offer paid holidays, generous PTO,, 401K and 8-5hours Monday through Friday. Responsibilities

Customer Engagement Policy Reviews

• Onboard and welcome new customers to the agency to ensure accuracy and proper coverage and high retention.
• Proactively contact customers prior to policy renewal to schedule and complete coverage reviews
• Educate clients on their current policies, coverage options, and any changes impacting their policies
• Identify gaps, outdated coverage, or opportunities to better align policies with current needs

Policy Optimization Product Modernization

• Evaluate existing policies for opportunities to transition customers from legacy or outdated products to newer, more competitive offerings
• Clearly explain the benefits of updated products, including coverage enhancements, pricing advantages, and long-term value
• Manage the transfer process to ensure a seamless customer experience with minimal disruption
• Ensure all changes are compliant and in the best interest of the customer

Cross-Selling Account Rounding

• Identify opportunities to offer additional products, including home, renters, boat, motorcycle, RV, umbrella, life, and retirement solutions
• Present tailored recommendations based on household needs, life events, and financial goals

Retention Relationship Management

• Build strong, long-term relationships through consultative, needs-based conversations
• Reinforce the value of staying with the agency by aligning coverage with evolving customer needs
• Proactively address concerns and reduce policy cancellations
• Pipeline Activity Management
• Maintain a structured renewal pipeline and follow-up schedule
• Document all policy reviews, recommendations, transfers, and outcomes in the agency management system
• Track activity related to renewals, cross-sells, and product transitions
• Compliance Product Knowledge
• Stay current on product updates, legacy-to-new product transitions, underwriting guidelines, and compliance standards
• Ensure all recommendations are accurate, ethical, and aligned with agency and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Active PC or Personal Lines Insurance License for Oregon and Washington
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Proven track record of success in insurance sales service
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Goal-oriented and self-motivated
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Coachable Team Player
