Accounts Payable Specialist

LHH has partnered with a well-established and thriving organization whos seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. This position offers a blend of accounts payable, reconciliations, and audit support responsibilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys taking ownership of critical accounting functions. Responsibilities of this AP Specialist include: Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice review, coding, data entry, payment processing, and vendor communications. Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor inquiries. Maintain accurate accounts payable records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Support 1099 reporting and related tax documentation requirements. Review and analyze expense accounts, helping ensure accuracy within the general ledger. Prepare financial schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for management and auditors. Maintain vendor records and accounting system data while supporting continuous process improvements. Qualifications 3+ years of accounts payable experience. Knowledge of 1099 reporting requirements and vendor compliance documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software platforms such as Sage Intacct. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Excellent communication skills and a customer service mindset.
