Industrial Painter

1st Shift Hours: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM (flexibility required depending on painting schedules) Pay: $18 to $23 - based on experience

Responsibilities

• Move pipes and parts into position for painting using slings and a forklift
• Clean grease, dirt, and debris from surfaces before painting
• Mask off areas that should not be coated
• Mix paint, epoxy, or polyurethane coatings to required specifications
• Load paint into spray equipment and connect to air supply
• Adjust spray equipment to control spray pattern and pressure
• Apply primer and finish coats using conventional or airless spray equipment
• Use brushes to coat areas not accessible with spray equipment
• Remove rust from metal using wire brushes or powered wire wheels
• Clean spray guns, hoses, and brushes with appropriate solvents
• Maintain inventory of paint and shop supplies
• Keep work area clean and organized while following all safety procedures

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing experience required
• Forklift experience required
• Experience operating industrial spray painting equipment
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Safety-first mindset
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours when painting schedules require it
• Ability to work overtime as needed
