Production Supervisor

Production Supervisor Job Location: Robinson, IL Shifts: 12‑hour shift 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM on a 4‑on, 4‑off schedule; 8‑hour shifts 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM / 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM Monday–Friday. Overtime may be required. Summary: The Hershey Company Robinson plant is a non‑union plant producing products such as PayDay, Heath, Skor, Milk Duds, Whoppers & Reese’s Pieces in a high‑speed complex environment. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the financial planning, directing and managing hourly production personnel, while safely and effectively meeting departmental needs. The supervisor must adhere to the employee handbook, regulatory requirements, company and plant policies, procedures, and rules. Flexible for all shifts and weekend work is required. In Addition, The Production Supervisor Will With minimal direction and input from senior leadership, propose, plan, and execute projects to eliminate the root cause of manufacturing problems. Independently execute projects of high complexity that have a large impact on the company's current and/or future business interests. Be responsible for the financial planning and directing and managing hourly production personnel while safely and effectively meeting the needs of their department. Responsibilities Ensure that the area of responsibility supports all plant goals daily and weekly, reviewing results with staff. Coordinate and administer daily interaction between the assigned area of responsibility and all other departments in the plant, including peers across shifts. Ensure personnel have proper qualifications, are properly trained, and motivated. Ensure compliance with food quality & safety and employee safety standards; identify and implement improvement opportunities. Ensure compliance with administrative and reporting procedures while complying with overtime and handbook provisions. Coordinate labor staffing daily in accordance with the budgeted staffing. Document notification requests in SAP PM and follow up with maintenance and other shifts. Input data into SAP, check QA documentation, and verify employee time cards. Analyze information and follow up on exceptions and opportunities. Foster a continuous improvement mindset, elevating new ideas, and executing plans to impact plant operations. Minimum Qualifications Excellent people and leadership skills. Strong change‑management skills, driving and implementing change to optimize safety, quality, and costs. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities. Ability to work with and relate to all levels of personnel. Ability to read and interpret production performance reports. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or a high‑speed, complex environment required. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
