Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Join a traveling Physical Therapist role in Chicago, IL at an outpatient clinic where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location. The role involves evaluating assigned patients, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, documenting care in compliance with regulatory and clinic standards, supervising discipline‑specific therapy services, and participating in student education and professional development. The position requires adherence to safety procedures and the organization’s code of conduct. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA. Active Illinois state physical therapy license required to start the assignment. BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required. Experience in outpatient physical therapy required. Experience with patient evaluation, goal writing, and developing functional treatment programs. Ability to complete timely, accurate medical record documentation, including letters of medical necessity and charge entry. Must adhere to state Practice Act, maintain professional licensure in good standing, and meet state‑mandated continuing education requirements. Willingness to float to other clinic locations as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience supervising students and participating in clinical education programs. Prior experience in performance improvement initiatives and familiarity with competency programs for direct care providers. Demonstrated safe patient handling and materials handling practices.
