Locums Cardiovascular Surgery Physician OpportunityWe are seeking a Locums Cardiovascular Surgery Physician to provide call coverage in Ogden, Utah. This opportunity requires a physician experienced in both cardiovascular and thoracic surgery and comfortable practicing in a Level II Trauma Center.Position HighlightsSchedule: 24-hour call coverageTrauma Designation: Level II Trauma CenterEMR: MeditechPatient Volume: Approximately 10–12 patients per weekConsults: Approximately 3–5 consults per weekSurgical Volume: Approximately 1–3 surgeries per weekTypically 1 cardiac caseTypically 2–3 thoracic casesAnnual Cardiac Volume: Approximately 80 heart cases per yearHospital-provided vein harvest teamResponsibilitiesProvide 24-hour call coverage for cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patientsEvaluate and manage cardiovascular and thoracic surgical patientsPerform cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures as neededRespond to consultations and provide surgical recommendationsManage pre-operative and post-operative patient careCollaborate with hospital staff and the surgical care teamMaintain timely and accurate documentation in MeditechRequirementsBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular/Thoracic SurgeryActive Utah medical license requiredActive Utah DEA requiredExperience performing both cardiovascular and thoracic surgical proceduresComfortable providing independent call coverage in a Level II Trauma Center
