Description This on-site, contract position offers an exceptional opportunity for an associate-level physician to deliver high-acuity patient care in a dynamic and supportive clinical environment. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive critical care services to adult patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) setting. Perform thorough patient assessments, develop differential diagnoses, and initiate appropriate treatment plans chair Manage mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and other life-support technologies effectively.. Perform invasive procedures as needed, including central venous catheterization, arterial line placement, intubation, and thoracentesis.. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care across shifts.. Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding prognoses and treatment options.. Document patient evaluations, procedures, interventions, and outcomes accurately in a timely manner.. Participate actively in patient rounds, case discussions, and clinical quality improvement initiatives.. Respond promptly to rapid response team activations and emergency situations within the critical care environment.. Adhere to all hospital policies, protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements.. Requirements Doctor of Medicine (MD)) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.. Board certification or board eligibility in Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Anesthesiology/Critical Care, or a recognized equivalent specialty.. Active, unrestricted medical license in the applicable jurisdiction (or ability to obtain licensure prior to assignment commencement)) Associate-level clinical experience in critical care, intensive care medicine, or high-acuity hospital settings.. Strong proficiency in managing complex medical conditions, multi-organ dysfunction, and hemodynamic instability.. Advanced procedural skills including airway management, central venous catheter placement, arterial line insertion, and mechanical ventilator management.. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)), and required critical care credentials.. Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills with the ability to remain composed under pressure.. Ability to work a flexible on-site contract schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as determined by departmental staffing needs.. Preferred: Fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine or equivalent intensive care experience.. Preferred: Prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR)) systems in an acute care environment.. Preferred: Prior locum tenens or contract physician experience in hospital-based or critical care settings..
