Project Specialist
Location: Lenexa, Kansas | Office Based | Full-Time
Summary
The Project Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the successful execution of life safety compliance projects by preparing, reviewing, and maintaining Life Safety Plans through specialized software systems. This position requires extensive use of computer software and Life Safety drawings to accurately document project information and provide field service technicians with the precise details needed to execute projects successfully. The Project Specialist works closely with Project Managers and Project Coordinators to ensure project accuracy, efficiency, compliance, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do
- Review, update, and maintain project documentation using Life Safety drawings and specialized software systems.
- Utilize Bluebeam, Premier, and other project management tools to review and maintain Life Safety Plans.
- Accurately identify, pin, and document fire dampers, fire doors, and related components on Life Safety Plans.
- Ensure field service technicians receive complete and accurate project information for successful project execution.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Coordinators to verify project scope, requirements, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Maintain organized and accurate project files in accordance with company standards and procedures.
- Identify discrepancies within drawings, documentation, and project records and assist in resolving issues proactively.
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives focused on documentation quality, workflow efficiency, and information accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure alignment on project requirements and expectations.
- Assist with project administration and documentation support as needed.

What We're Looking For
- Proficiency with Bluebeam and Premier software, or the ability to learn quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing and documenting technical information.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, Life Safety Plans, and technical documents.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in project support, construction, engineering, architecture, or life safety compliance is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Physical Requirements
- Regular sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and use of computer equipment.
- Ability to review documents and drawings on computer screens for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally climb stairs, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Ability to safely lift and carry materials or office equipment weighing up to 20 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work in a professional office environment and occasionally visit operational or project locations.

- Ability to work occasional overtime, evenings, weekends, or modified schedules as business needs require.
- Reliable transportation to and from the office.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of project, customer, and company information.

Compensation & Benefits Disclosure: The compensation range for this position is $18.00-$22.00 per hour. This range represents REMEDI8's good-faith estimate of the compensation expected to be offered to a successful candidate at the time of hire. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, certifications, geographic location, market conditions, and business needs.
