Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round (260 Days) Reports To: Director of Student Services & Building PrincipalsAbout the Role Are you a visionary clinical leader passionate about transforming school culture? We are looking for a Behavioral Health & Wellness Coordinator to step into a dual-capacity leadership and clinical role designed to ensure our District achieves its goal of becoming fully trauma-informed. In this impact-driven role, you will champion the development and implementation of an integrated behavioral health delivery system. Working hand-in-hand with school districts implementing New Hampshire's Multi-Tiered System of Supports for Behavioral Health and Wellness (MTSS-B), you will provide systemic leadership while delivering direct clinical services and consultation to support student wellness and engagement.Your Responsibilities:Clinical Services & Consultation (50%)Direct Support: Devote 25% of your time to delivering high-impact clinical services, prioritizing rapid access for un/underinsured or underserved students.Counseling: Engage a diverse population of students through both 1-1 and group counseling modalities.Staff Coaching: Provide vital behavioral health consultation and coaching to teachers on classroom management techniques and trauma-informed approaches.Staff Supervision: Support school counselors and related student service positions as they respond to trauma and implement SEL practices.Systems Leadership & MTSS-B Implementation (25%)Program Leadership: Lead the planning, supervision, and evaluation of trauma-informed programming and social-emotional learning (SEL) district-wide.Team Integration: Serve as a core member of district and school-level MTSS-B teams, including the District Community Leadership Team and Advanced Tier 2/3 teams.Policy & Strategy: Develop, review, and revise mental health policies, crisis response protocols, and facilitated referral pathways in coordination with district leadership.Data Metrics: Collaborate on district/school data teams to monitor system-level and student-level outcomes to boost student achievement.Community & Professional Collaboration (25%)Liaison Services: Act as the primary bridge between the district, community mental health centers (CMHC), state agencies (NHED/DHHS), and outside consultants.Workshops & Training: Deliver engaging professional development and workshops for staff, parents, and community partners on trauma-informed practices and school-based therapy programs.Transition Coordination: Maintain open, supportive communication with families and outside vendors to guide students seamlessly through the school system.What You Bring to the TeamEducation & LicensureEducation: A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, School Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.Certification: Must hold or be eligible for New Hampshire certification as a School Counselor (NH 0040), School Psychologist (NH 0046/0047), or School Social Worker (NH 0049), and/or be certified/licensed to provide behavioral health clinical services in New Hampshire.Experience & SkillsProfessional Experience: Preferred 2-3 years of experience as a school-based mental health professional or clinician.Specialized Knowledge: Deep understanding of adolescent psychological development, special education evaluation processes, and Critical Incident Stress Management.Core Competencies: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a strong ability to navigate complex organizational change, and a deep commitment to "System of Care" values.Technical Skills: Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office products.Employment Terms & RequirementsSchedule: Year-round position (260 days), inclusive of holidays and vacation time.Travel: Frequent travel between school buildings and community agencies is required; must possess a valid driver's license.Safety: Must successfully pass a clear criminal background check.
