Appointment in the Department of Sociology at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The Department of Sociology at Stanford University seeks applicants for a faculty appointment in an open area of sociology at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Applicants must have demonstrated a commitment to effective teaching and mentoring and the ability to develop and maintain a world-class research program. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in sociology or a related field and will be expected to teach and advise students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The salary ranges for this position are as follows:

• 154,577 - $165,500 (Assistant Professor)
• 167,000 - $179,500 (Associate Professor)
• 181,000 - $335,805 (Professor)
