Here are some of their key responsibilities: planning and supervising shipments, scheduling routes, tracking orders, coordinating, monitoring transportation costs, ensuring compliance, and maintaining records. Transportation Managers play a crucial role in the supply chain, ensuring that goods are delivered on time and in good condition Major Functional Responsibilities Ensure that shipments are handled efficiently, safely, and within budget Organize daily and weekly routes for transportation vehicles .Use systems like barcodes and tracking software to monitor shipments Ensure proper storage and distribution of products Keep track of expenses to stay within budget Make sure all shipments comply with legal regulations Keep detailed records of all transportation activities Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards Full Benefits Qualifications 5 - 7 years of related experience 6 Months - 1 Year Supervisory or management experience Required Qualifications Several years of experience in transportation, logistics, or a related field Ability to coordinate complex logistics and plan routes effectively Proficiency in transportation management software and tracking systems Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with various stakeholders Ability to quickly address and resolve transportation issues Understanding of legal regulations and safety requirements Preferred qualifications Licenses and Certifications Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)-APIC Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) #J-18808-Ljbffr FSN (Freedom Search Network)
